When I was still in practice (retired now) I told pt family this isn’t baseball rules. I have a 0 strike policy, and the first time you “help” or try to tell me how to do my job, visiting hours are over and you are leaving.

My veins roll and I am often times dehydrated. It’s not rare for a nurse to not get my vein the first time, it’s not their fault so I never complain to them about my crappy veins. However I Had a nurse about a month ago blow my vein (this was her 3rd attempt) and try to play it off, I was a bit irritated from that but didn’t complain or give her a hard time haha
