Saying I got measles and I’m fine so measles aren’t so bad is as dumb as saying I was in a war and I survived so war isn’t so bad. It’s survivorship bias. Survivorship bias is a logical error where you focus only on the winners or survivors of a process while completely ignoring the ones that failed.

I survived measles too because there was no vaccine yet. It was not fun and other kids did not survive or were left with debilitating conditions. we eradicated smallpox with vaccines thank goodness and we can help keep kids healthy with vaccines!!

I'm also a measles survivor. I got both my (now 46yr old) sons vaccinated. Please note: "chicken soup and vitamin A" are not "the cure" for measles nor treatment of disease; they're part of nursing, to bring comfort and nourishment (food) to someone sick.
