Here’s the real catch and take your time replying. Y’all argued Sony could take your digital games away and with the way Xbox is doing their disc to digital Xbox would be able to make your disk unplayable if wanted to.

I think it means if physical games change, like they stop using discs and move to cards or something else. Like if Nintendo had cartridges, discs, cards etc but you still have digital versions of them all so you can play on any generation

the companies are always chasing trends, so I can see it changing to digital after the physical trend is truly over

I think the massive amount of cost they would save by not having to buy shelf space in every major retailer would ultimately be better for them as a company I don't think too many of those physical games are being sold and in which you can always just have one shipped from Microsoft maybe directly they can ship their own physical media
