Do NOT adopt a parrot if you have a dog!! Dogs and birds are a very bad combination, a very dangerous combination for the bird. PetSmart should have told you that. They never should have sold it to you.

Hey girl its so cute but i just want you to know that birds need a diet of vegetables and seeds are more of a treat as they can get fatty liver disease ect also make sure to get it a big enough cage to fly around and use like natural wooden perches and not the smooth sticks that come with cages so that it doesn’t get bumble foot and please don’t use the nest as it can cause more aggressive behaviour due to nesting and if it is a girl then it will attempt to lay eggs which can be dangerous for it! I also recommend getting an air purifier so that you wont get sick from all of the dander they produce but im sure that you will be able to take care of it really well just please dont use some research so that you and the bird dont get sick 💕

Would definitely recommend more perches and toys! :) You can also make cheap toys with boxes and filling them with treats, crinkled paper, etc.
