@dinalynee: Here are five things that should be happening in your therapy session to know you’re getting good OCD therapy 🧠🤓 #OCD#ObsessiveCompulsiveDisorder #Therapy #TherapySession
I have ocd and my therapist isn’t specialized with it but I love her so much I don’t want to start over with a new therapist

I’m a new therapist and my caseload is 80% OCD clients. I’m looking for a good ERP training. Do you have one that you recommend?

I’m lost to find someone who specializes in OCD for my son. It’s exhausting. Is there a database by state?

What about when OCD is shown in their obsessive thoughts? What’s the exposure technique?

As counterintuitive as this may sound, but if you’re looking for a ocd therapist. You need to find someone that is going to make you feel comfortable with being horribly uncomfortable. In a safe and planful manner of course. OCD like op stated is all about challenging the status quo and learning that you’re more adaptable and resilient than your brain wants to give you credit for

Can I book an appointment with you through zoom? I’m in France and I swear I can’t find an OCD therapist! I went 5 years and just wasted my money cause she told me it’s just anxiety while she diagnosed me with OCD

Lori | Therapist :
So good! I specialize in anxiety but refer out to other specialists for OCD and people are sometimes confused but I’m happy to explain that OCD treatment is very specific and I want them to get the help necessary! Just because a therapist treats anxiety doesn’t mean they can treat OCD🙏

Agree!!! I get frustrated with therapists who say they work with OCD yet aren’t trained to work with OCD! Don’t forget about ICBT though- another great treatment but the structure is different than ERP :)

How do you do erp in session with clients who have pure ocd/ real event ocd that mostly manifests in mental compulsions? I find these clients need more response prevention vs actual exposures?
