@muzzyamin97: A glacier near Langtang Lirung, right on the Nepal-Tibet border suddenly collapsed. A massive chunk of ice and rock broke off and crashed down into the Lhende River. Scientists initially thought it was an earthquake, but USGS seismic data confirmed it was the glacier collapse itself that caused the shaking and not the other way around. The impact was so immense it created a temporary dam. When that dam gave way hours later, a wall of water surged downstream with terrifying force. There was no rain, no warning. It swept through Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Chitwan, Gorkha and more. It destroyed bridges, roads, hydropower plants, and homes across Nepal and into Tibet.
