ya know what, fuck it. he couldn’t give her credit for being his hand, for her forced growth bc of secrecy and love. Then he gives her the hospital of his dreams that he created bc he gives up his role and did what he thinks he wanted. giving it to her makes sense, but it is not an act of love. it again is an act of diminishment. i wish we got to see him regret his choices.. not the children or marriage necessarily, but the fact all of it is her opposite… when you over correct based on something/someone else, can that really be true to you?
