if it helps I think the graco extend to fit goes to 50lbs

Heidi :
my issue is that my daughter was over 100% in height and her legs were too squished, but I agree keep rear facing as long as possible

My kids were both over 4 when they maxed out rear facing of their seat at 40lbs. My almost 9yo is in a high back booster. My 5.5yo is still in a 5 point harness!

I purposely bought a car seat that has a 50lb rear facing limit because that kiddo is going to be rear facing forever

We had to move our 3 year old front facing recently because she maxed out weight and was almost there on height. The a 99th percentile of the 99th percentile kiddo and we were sad about it. We even looked to try to find a rear facing seat with a higher limit

My MIL keeps pushing for us to forward face our toddler and it makes me so mad. I’m her Mom, I get to decide that. Why wouldn’t I keep her rear facing as long as possible KNOWING that’s the safer option??

Thank you for this! My 4yo is still rear facing and I get asked a lot too why he is and also get the comments of "he looks too big, his legs must hurt etc" when he's fully comfortable! RF is so so much better.

They should be kept rear facing until they outgrow the rear facing maximum height or weight limit. Why on earth would someone tell you do forward face YOUR child..? Especially when that's NOT the safest option. Good job protecting your baby the best you can
