@booked_with_dani: Forget cozy fall reading. We’re entering our lock-the-doors, check-under-the-bed, why-did-I-read-this-before-going-to-sleep era. 😂 I rounded up some of the scariest horror books from the past five years—the ones filled with haunted houses, creepy entities, things that go bump in the night, and enough unsettling moments to make you question every noise your house makes. 👀 Some are terrifying. Some are deeply disturbing. Some will have you saying, “Absolutely NOT.” and closing the book for a minute. 😂 🔥 How many have you read? And more importantly… 👇 What is the SCARIEST book you’ve ever read? I want the book that genuinely made you uncomfortable being home alone. 😈📖 Save this list for your spooky-season TBR! 🎃 #HorrorBooks #ScaryBooks #HorrorBookRecommendations #BookRecommendations #HorrorReader
We use to live here was terrible. The reformatory was boring. Incidents around the house is unnerving but not scary. The September house was a great idea but felt rushed.

Felix Blackwell books always give that feeling of dread…in the best way possible.

‘This Thing Between Us’ was SO amazing! Not to be dramatic, but it kinda changed my brain chemistry a bit

Incidents Around The House really bothered me at first. I had to put it down a few times, but I’m in a reading group and wanted to finish it. I was able to finally finish it and look at it from a different perspective.

I don’t take book Rex’s from TikTok ever since I paid 14.99 fire the butterfly garden. Dumbest book I’ve ever read

Diavola had so much potential. Definitely had some pretty scary stuff. I just got annoyed at the family dynamic between the main character and her family. Witchcraft for Weyward girls was a solid read. I DNF’d Maeve Fly because its weirdness exceeded what I can handle. Several others are currently on my shelf waiting to be read. Also, if you haven’t read the Exorcists House yet, I highly recommend! For a book to jump scare me is a rare!

I’m finishing Incidents Around the House now and it’s a great book! I have two daughters and some parts of the book made me stop reading for a moment to take some parental breaths. Haha

I’ve read four of those and to me they weren’t scary at all. We used to live here though was like an acid trip and I still think about it. The kids these days would call it liminal. I’m saving the rest of the list

The Spite House was really good for like 80% of it then fell off a cliff with that ending. Bummer wanted to love it
