@justthebells10: Once you make homemade tortillas, it’s HARD to go back! 😍 These are soft, easy and SO good. I made THREE batches this time—over 30 tortillas—and my kids were eating them faster than I could use them. 😂 I managed to save enough to make breakfast wraps, and I’ll show you those NEXT! EASY HOMEMADE TORTILLAS • 2 1/2 cups flour • 1 tsp baking powder • 3/4 tsp salt • 4 Tbsp softened butter • 1 cup very hot water Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in the softened butter, then add the hot water and mix until the dough comes together. Shape into a log, cut in half, then divide each half into 5 pieces. Roll into balls, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll each tortilla PAPER THIN. Heat a dry cast-iron skillet or frying pan and cook each tortilla for about 45 seconds, until it begins to bubble and develop brown spots. Flip and cook approximately another 30 seconds. Stack the finished tortillas under a clean kitchen towel to keep them soft. Save this recipe—and come back because next I’m turning these into homemade breakfast wraps! 🙌 #JustTheBells10 #HomemadeTortillas #EasyRecipes #FromScratch #FamilyMeals

You don’t have to Saran Wrap them individually. Let the dough rest in a ziplock bag bag or a grocery bag or a kitchen towel while it sits in a bowl.

For a softer more traditional tortillas use shortening, not lard, instead of butter.

I made them this morning and they are delicious. So so easy to make. Thank you for breaking it down for me. I quickly bought a cast iron tortilla press from Amazon that made them super easy to flatten.
