agreed and that's why i think it's important to include trans people but specifically trans women in marxist feminism

I think one missing in this is that radfems can be TERFS or SWERFS, and both tend to point out choice feminism as the reason they are SWERFS

ECO > EGO :
Capitalism vs socialism is a fundamentally gendered debate. It all comes down to whether people believe they’re entitled to someone else’s body / labor / resources - i.e. how men have dominated and exploited female-bodied people for 5-7,000 years under patriarchal dominance hierarchies. Consider that presumed male supremacy might be the original blue print for supremacy culture overall; that presumed female inferiority justified oppression and became the blueprint for all social caste systems. Consider how corporate fascist capitalism, born of chattel slavery and imperialism, is just another iteration of the patriarchal masculinist project. Look at the data. How many billionaires, mega millionaires etc are men? The vast majority. And who runs the corporations, government, military? Majority men once again. And the values that guide the institutions of this system are overtly masculinist. On the other hand socialism or the socialist welfare state gets labeled as both existential threat to civilization AND coded feminine: i.e. the unnatural, irrational, inefficient “nanny state.” (Of course socialism is the more objectively rational, efficient, natural system but I digress). Thus the patriarchal capitalism versus matriarchal socialism debate can be framed like this: hierarchy ~ equality; individualistic domination ~ collective welfare; conquest ~ cooperation; militarism ~ diplomacy; competition ~ care; rationalism ~ empathy; libertarianism ~ interdependence. True egalitarianism will never be achieved without centering and prioritizing what many today consider feminine or matriarchal values; abolishing sexism and misogyny as well as all the other -isms; and ensuring equal or majority intersectional female leadership across every single sector. Only then will we be able to achieve an egalitarian fully automated gay space luxury matrimarxist ecosocialist solar punk intergalactic communism. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼🫶🏼🌈💖✨🌱🍄❤️🔥

I remember having these debates. It used to seem like a question that couldn’t be solved in a little more than a minute, but this is a very good stab at it.

I agree with you, comrade. The later USSR was full of sex based stereotypes, you can watch Служебный романс, this film’s entire focus is how dry and unhappy a female boss is and how a male employee comes to “soften her” and “save her” from her own independence lol. Planned economy, unfortunately, does not eradicate patriarchy completely. Even tho I’m more than happy that my female predecessors were all educated and in possession of passports and had childcare and maternity leave etc etc etc.

This reminds me of the drastically falling birthrate in China because the social expectations for women and men stayed largely the same so both, men and women, refuse to engage in marriage because it's extremely expensive and totally bound to family expectations on both sides. Mothers still are expected to carry the majority of the care work. But the young women are now educated and have an independent income, as well as the man. So they simply refuse and the government blames the feminist role models and the soft male aesthetic in dramas. 🥲

radical feminism is still incompatible with marxism lol if u are a marxist u must understand that the source of oppression is class society not sexism itself

If one says that capitalism is the important thing, and the other says that patriarchy is the important thing, then they cannot both be right. The radfems are simply wrong. How can sex be a class? How can the richest woman be the same as the poorest woman? Makes no sense.

Rad fems can't be given the credit for determining that patriarchy predates capitalism. Engels had stated that long ago in origin of the family. The issue with radical feminism is it views patriachy as a struggle between men and women, whereas Marxists (such as Kollantai) reject that stating that men and women should be looking to overthrow the patriarchal class society that we live under. Classed society and patriarchy aren't separate entities, but rad fems treat them as if they are

You lost me sorry you’re just incorrect here. Lots of radical feminists of the 60s did believe in biologically determined oppression. Robin West, Ti-Grace Atkinson, Shulamith Firestone
