It won’t. When I worked in a monopoly industry, we had a saying: the best time to build trust is when you’re a monopoly. Market power doesn’t free you from the need for legitimacy. These companies still need us to trust them enough to bring more of our thinking, our work, and increasingly ourselves into their systems. So watch for changes.
