My 13-year-old got himself in quite a pickle as well and is grounded from his phone. We are 24 hours in and he is like a whole new kid. I made him breakfast this morning and you’re not gonna believe this… He talked to me. As he was leaving for the bus he came over and gave me a kiss on the cheek and said “Love you, mom have a good day”. 😳 I about fell off my chair. I don’t think I’m ever going to give his phone back. He is way more enjoyable without it! 💃💃💃. (In all seriousness it just goes to show how addicted they truly are to their phones and it makes me sad 💔).

Teacher here: kids have tricks. If they have an iPad, they use Snapchat on that. Old phone at home? They connect the old phone to wifi. No old phone? They borrow a burner phone from a friend. They all come to school talking about how their parents take there phone but not their freedom! lol

this sounds like when your parents would say “send her a letter” or “wait till you see them” when you were a kid instead of letting you use the phone, 5 seconds to answer her message wasn’t gonna kill you, the embarrassment of a NOTE in public would possibly ruin his chances. I’m 17, i’m not saying i like it but it’s a very dangerous game. People change their minds very quickly

My son just told me that he doesn’t have many of his friends phone numbers. They just communicate through Snapchat that is so weird to me.
