@carmeninthegarden: Have you ever tried Thai lime? Today I’m making Thai Lime Chile Marmalade to use with savory things like chicken wings, pork belly, and charcuterie boards. If you want to try and recreate this with regular lime, here’s the recipe: Lime Chile Marmalade 1 cup fresh lime juice 3/4 lb lime peel + pith, very thinly sliced 3 cups water, plus more for blanching 2 cups sugar 4 small dried chiles, crushed Pinch of kosher salt Cover the sliced lime peel with water, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes. Drain. Add the blanched peel, lime juice, and 3 cups water to a pot. Simmer, partially covered, for 35–45 minutes, until the peel is completely tender. Add the sugar, dried chiles, and salt. Bring to a lively boil and cook, stirring frequently, for 10–20 minutes, until thickened and jammy. It will continue to set as it cools. Transfer to clean jars, cool, and refrigerate for up to 1 month. #citrus #cooking #garden

Do you have finger limes? If so, what are good ways to use them? My parents have a tree with tons of limes, and besides mixing in drinks and salsa, we don’t know how to use them!

I struggle with my citrus trees! I have a lemon, lime and mandarin orange in pots. I have had them for 3 years and to date have only gotten 1 lime. They get many flowers and lots of budding fruit and then all the fruit falls off. What am I doing wrong?

Please do a series on citrus! We have had a few in pots for the last three years and bring them in to overwinter (zone 7) and we finally got tons of blooms this summer but only one baby lime. Fertilized right when blooms started coming in but still very few fruits

I'd love a lemon or lime tree, but I live in Upstate NY, we have cold and snow here 6months out of the year. I bought a tiny meyer lemon and key lime trees from lowes this summer, I found conflicting information about what type of soil to use, especially in a potted tree. im an advid house plants and non fruit bearing trees grower, and I do a small vegetable garden in the summer (I still have green tomatoes 🙄)
