If they crossed over from Nepal into Tibet and carried on northwards then hopefully they got far enough removed from the junction where the flash flood travelled down

I lived through a major flood and land slide in western NC it took about 4-5 days to make contact with some folks because the signal was poor/jammed. I’m sure in a more rural area it would take even longer. I saw miracles here and I’m praying and hoping for a miracle for this young man.
