It is never a sin for the Catholic Church cuz I don't know for other churches. In the Catholic Church, be it a rev. fr or sister cannot deprive of your tradition, culture and some lifestyle that doesn't lead you to sin. This masquerade is our culture, same way we have Santa clause(Father Christmas) and Halloween that is the tradition of other people.

There's nothing wrong with it there's this Rev. father that once stayed at our side he go out with village boys guy them drink sit and joke with everyone He also spray money for masquerade each time they are doing traditions the day he was transferred people were very sad to the extent that everyone started written letters to the bishop begging not to remove me from the parish but he later travel outside the country
