My simple hacks & how much fiber to have each day👇🏼 Protein gets all the attention in the fitness world, but fiber is one of those things you can FEEL when you’re consistently getting enough of it. Better digestion. More regular bathroom trips. Meals that actually keep you full. A healthier gut. And for a lot of people, less of that constantly backed-up, heavy, bloated feeling through the stomach. An easy goal: most women should be somewhere around 25g+ of fiber per day. Increase it gradually and make sure you’re drinking enough water otherwise you may be adding cardio to this list as well - running to the bathroom 🫣 Easy foods to start adding: • Raspberries, blackberries, pears & apples • Chia seeds or ground flax • Avocado • Oats • Potatoes & sweet potatoes with the skin • Beans, lentils & chickpeas • High-fiber wraps/breads • Broccoli, Brussels sprouts & other veggies • Popcorn • Edamame My favorite “barely have to think about it” tricks: Add berries + chia seeds to yogurt or oatmeal. Throw beans into taco bowls, salads, soups or rice bowls. Choose a carb source that gives you fiber too instead of only thinking about the protein on your plate. Keep frozen fruit and vegetables around so “I have nothing fresh” isn’t an excuse. Try to get plants from MULTIPLE sources throughout the day instead of eating one heroic serving of broccoli at dinner and calling it good. you don’t need a perfect “gut health” diet. Start by asking yourself one question: “Where can I add one more plant to this meal?” Protein helps you build the body. Fiber helps make sure everything inside that body is actually running the way it should! Save this and check your fiber intake for the next few days. You might be surprised how little you’re actually getting 👀
