Yeah I've come to realize that I'm so deep into factory gaming because it's a fantasy of unalienated labor. I can identify a need or a problem or a goal, spend a couple hours building a solution, and then enjoy watching it work. I'm not subject to market forces or the whims of a boss or that boss' boss taking a huge cut of whatever value I produce, I just need there to be a bunch of iron plates going over there, I know how to make them and send them over there, I can just get to work. It's really nice.
