This is a new era of information sharing! What looks like "venting" or "negativity" to some is actually a form of collective truth-telling. When one woman posts about her negative experiences, thousands of others realize they aren't alone. So I see it a bit differently. Throughout history—like during the Reformation period—whenever a new way to communicate is invented, people finally get a voice to speak out on issues that were kept hidden before. Women aren't suddenly hating marriage; they just finally have a platform to talk about the real challenges, unfair standards, and systemic issues that their mothers and grandmothers had to suffer through in silence. It is an echo chamber, but there's power in that. For generations, women had to suffer through bad marriages completely isolated. Finding an online space where other people echo your exact experiences isn't just venting—it’s how people realize they deserve better standards.
