You forgot to tell that Aimo Koivunen skied through a soviet camp with soviet soldiers in it (Aimo thought first that they're his countrymen), they were so confused they didn't react in time and Aimo escaped into snowstorm and darkness 😂

Juliane Koepke deserves a spot on here. her book “The Day I Fell From The Sky” is riveting. her plane fell apart and she fell 10,000 ft into the amazon jungle where the canopy smoothed her landing. she had several severe fractures, blinded in one eye and severe open wounds on her arms(very bad situation for infections in the amazon) she was a mammalogist and very educated on amazonian animals and general survival, she followed the sounds of birds and animals she knew to a river. continued following certain animals down the river, there were planes looking for her but couldn’t find her over the canopies. 11 days later just moving downstream she somehow found a logging hut. the peruvians thought she was a “water spirit” she managed to explain herself out of it and eventually they helped rescue her. she did some crazy 💩, maggots were burrowing deep into her wounds she poured kerosine on them and pulled them out, her fractures were devestating, she found out her mother along others survived the crash but succumbed to injuries- honestly the book is absolutely amazing im not doing her justice it’s worth the read

The Thai soccer thing was 🤯 The coach was actually a meditation expert/instructor and the boys said that’s how they survived. They meditated the ENTIRE time as he led them through it mentally. Some of them said they weren’t even hungry/scared during the 9 days. It’s definitely how they survived. There’s a 5 part podcast series called “Against The Odds” on it which is fantastic. Also though there are SO many cool episodes about every single story you mentioned!
