We did not get new backpacks this year either , I spent $45 last year on backpacks and they were still in nice shape , just washed them up and good to go !

Every parent doing this is just crazy. Schools in the UK just provide all this, so much simpler each school doing one bulk order. Parents could just be charged if it's a tax issue.

my son's in high school has folders for every class notebook for every class and then the mechanical pencils regular pencils and erasers Hawaiian pens and just like your kid one highlighter he used to use a binder but now because I have all the kids to use clear backpacks in school he just puts everything in his clear backpack and no binder
