Batman was grieving. Anyone who’s lost someone knows the psychological trauma afterwards. The way it impedes judgement. Bane knew what he was doing. Releasing all those criminals so Batman would wear himself thin. That’s how he’d win. I’ve never seen him suffer so much psychologically. Not since his parents. I know he’ll come out of this. He’s still one of the greatest non powered hero. If not the greatest non powered hero . Any one who knows this character knows his mind is his greatest asset. And that’s what is being tested now. This is a psychological battle. Not necessarily about Bane. He’s just a catalyst for him to grow, for him to realize he needs help when necessary. I don’t know why people don’t want to acknowledge the context of the whole thing. You think a “mind fuck” is a simple thing to get over. If anything Bane waited for the right time to do all this. Right when Batman was paranoid, tired and not thinking straight.
