I was always under the impression that sheaves were the driven side and the pulley was on the drive side.

I used to work in the steel industry back in the uk and large drives would be series wound DC motors. It was exciting times, one test was the over speed test as if the load was lost the motor would try to reach infinity speed which of course would destroy the motor. 🤗

So you’ve got a run capacitor and two start capacitors is that right? What uf rating are the other two as I have a problem with a single phase motor that keep blowing a capacitor? 👍🏻

They fail because they run on a split phase which requires exotic capacitance and separate start windings that must be mechanically switched off at full speed
