It’s better to get solar and cover all of your windows so no possible light can get out. People who are unprepared will breaking in to home to find what they need. No outside lights either or any clear indication that you have power, you will become a target.

At this point if you're single with no kids or don't have alot of kids ie 1 or 2 it's probably best to buy a diesel RV with a manual transmission ie less moving parts Cummins engine preferred if possible. At the very least propane and diesel will be available and if your Cummins is a 12v you can run it on farm diesel, and processed cooking oil.
