Got the utmost respect for these players that move to a new country and take learning the language and culture seriously. It can’t be easy, especially if you’ve played in multiple different countries or been in your home country for most of a your career and then all of a sudden move abroad.

during the world cup I was thinking a lot about countries that have one unifying language vs countries that have a couple languages vs countries that could easily have every player speaking different language. does that affect how well a team does in the world cup?

No actually this is really the thing I love the most about football 😭😭 everyone has a diff accent, there’s so many diff languages and cultures, it really makes me happy! The only us sport like that is hockey, but it’s still kinda limited to cold white countries😅 but I love when a sport brings so many ppl together from diff places on one team!
