This has given me so much hope my son was just diagnosed with autism level 3 because he is nonverbal and doesn’t understand just hand guides me he will be 2 in a few weeks

My grandson started therapy at 23 months. He turned 2 July 26th. He can understand simple commands now, he’s answering to his name or when you say look. He’s even getting to where he will just randomly come hug you and when you ask for a kiss he will put his cheek on your lips. Therapy works. He went from babbling a little to babbling a lot too. ❤️

My son is autistic and he was nonverbal till the age of 4 1/2 technically. he said a very small amount of words. he played with others. He was very behind, but he is now in kindergarten and thriving. He is the smartest kid in his special needs class and probably the smartest kid in kindergarten. I would bet his is. He is really smart. He just doesn't show how smart he is. He is a little einstein. Your son will surprise you like mine did.

As an rbt and as a momma of a nonverbal autistic daughter I read somewhere that said we suffer their diagnosis more than they do they are happy in their own little world 🥰

working in ABA therapy was one of the most emotionally rewarding jobs i have ever had. the milestone and celebrations with the parents was heart melting. and seeing these little babies do something their parents never thought was possible is an indescribable feeling. it’s only up, always!

the one with all his siblings around his AAC device with him made me start crying and wish I had that for my first/only born 🥺☹️nonverbal autistic been in therapies since 18 months old. yours has an army behind him so blessed 🫶
