I want everyone here to know that even though recovery is difficult it does work. Earlier this month I celebrated 38 years of recovery from all mood and mind altering chemicals including alcohol because you will find out that a drug is a drug, is a drug.

Sept 18, 2019 is my sober birthday! I was a functioning alcoholic…worked all day and then drank at least an 18 rack a night! It stole so many years from me! I am happy to say that I no longer need alcohol…but I fear it everyday and that keeps me on the straight…and it is also knowing I will never ever get apologies from some so I forgive myself! It’s not always “One Day at a Time!” Sometimes it “one second at a time, seconds turn to mins, mins to hours, hours to days and days to the rest of your life!” If anyone needs to talk I am here
