I liked Mitchell, but this trade was a wash. We got Kevin McReynolds for Mitchell. Aside from the 89 season Mitchell had an average career. Yea McReynolds was a vanilla player, but I think that was what Mets wanted.

I never heard him interviewed. He is not like the media narrative about him. They sort of made him out to be some street guy from the hood. He’s articulate and a straight shooter.
