Public awareness, Today, on my way to school in Aba, I experienced something that left me deeply hurt and disappointed. I was stopped by road safety officials while riding my private motorcycle with my guy. I presented all the necessary documents, but the situation turned into harassment and insults. What hurt me the most was being called a fraudster. They questioned how someone my age could own two phones, a laptop, and a motorcycle. I tried explaining that I am a student of Jenga Tech, studying Software Engineering. The laptop I was carrying is for my studies. But despite my explanation, they kept insisting that I must be a fraudster simply because I had these things. And I keep asking myself: why do some people believe that every successful young person must be a fraudster? Why do some people find it hard to believe that young people are working hard for their future? That waste of time ruined my day, and I couldn't even attend my lecture like I planned. I almost cried because it's painful to work hard for something and still be treated as if you don't deserve it. I'm not saying no one should enforce the law, but please stop looking at every young person as a fraudster. Let our voices be heard, believe in our youth, give us the opportunity to prove ourselves. Stop police harassment, stop harassing young people. We're not criminals just because we're young, we're hardworking people trying to build our future. We deserve respect, fairness, and the chance to live our lives without unnecessary intimidation. Please, let's put an end to the harassment of young people. Believe in us, encourage us, and treat us with dignity. Our youth deserve better. Our voices matter.
