I worked in this industry from product design and development to catalogs and wholesale marketing and I’ve actually stopped a product from going into a catalog because I knew how it could be received. That’s part of the job. And when Callaway says their “internal review process failed,” people need to understand what that actually means. This didn’t land on one person’s desk. A review process has stages and multiple people involved. It went through people and still got approved. Callaway admitted they approved the video. Now Good Good gets dropped and a million dollars gets thrown at the fallout while Callaway blames a “process”? No. People made those decisions. Who approved it and what happened to them? This is such sloppy PR cleanup. Ladies keep tossing those brands. Don’t fall for it.

I also heard Calloway was purposely tanking their own stock in order to buy it back. They also know that we are stupid and will forget this in 6 months and people we see the stock price as an anomaly and buy the good deal and it will end up pushing the price higher than it was before
