They're also required to sedate/ give pain management to dogs for medical procedures! Guess what women don't get.... "take an ibuprofen before you come"

the first recorded report of child abuse to the authorities was not to the police, but to animal control. because at that point in time there we no laws against familial child abuse.

And dogs come out 10000 times more ready to survive then human babies so the technical equivalent for human babies would be even so much more then the dogs that we still dont even get :(

I saw on the news that a bunch of animal shelters were being expanded and improved (a good thing), but meanwhile the women's shelter I was staying in was right by a very busy gas station where two highways intersect. They didn't think to move or improve that, but they were really concerned about the animal shelters.

In my state it’s illegal to even hit a puppy (even without leaving a mark) or causing fear intentionally but it’s legal to hit your child as long as it doesn’t leave a mark and you don’t use an object to do so…. Dogs have more rights than children

it's also legal to separate mother cows from their baby calf so they can steal the cow's milk and send the baby calf to be slaughtered days later

yes. now deep dive that further...it's "humane" to put a dog or other animal out of its misery when it's too sick and or injured to live a good life BUT in the human world (in the USA in this case) suicide or assisted suicide, for a true parallel,is not only illegal bur the person who wants to die and end their suffering because they no longer want to exist bc existing is not living...then they need to not give up and hang in there and it's wrong for them to want to die...or rather want their constant pain and suffering and lack of ability to actually live to end.
