@home.coop.garden: Intentional living isn’t just for the good moments. In fact, I think it matters most in the difficult ones. Sometimes, being intentional about the simplest things can make all the difference in how we move through a hard season. This man has a heart of gold, so I’d be lying if I said anger and resentment haven’t been on my heart lately. I want to believe that God is going to use all things for good, even when I can’t see how yet. This wouldn’t be the first, third, or even fourth time he’s been offered a promotion within the company. He’s turned them down before because he genuinely loves what he does, but also because he knew this was a safe home for our family. Every time he would come home overwhelmed by the drama at work, I could see how, little by little, he was starting to lose the joy he once had in his work environment. And that’s when I knew I had to support him and encourage him to take the promotion. Even though I knew it could mean a lot of changes for us, I also knew that watching someone you love slowly lose the joy in something they’ve worked so hard for is its own kind of heartbreak. So here we are, stepping into something we didn’t necessarily choose, trusting that maybe God did. #husbands #dads #men #goodmen
