@ivylane.cinnabun: Some Ivy Lane back story! I got Ivy Lane through a facebook group, where the family was looking to rehome her due to other animals in the home. She came at the perfect time, as I’ve always wanted a bunny and was in my early 20s in a good place to have my own pet, and had been thinking about it more recently! When I saw her post it felt like fate. As I was going through a lot of life transitions, she was too. She was extremely timid and shy for the first almost year of having her. You’d pet her and she’d run away, although she’d hang out with you when you sat with her, and I think this is where we built a lot of trust. But then, slowly, she’d come out more when you entered the room, would sit and stay and really seem to enjoy head pets specifically. Then overtime she became happy getting pets on her back too, and she slowly just started being more comfortable with things she wasn’t in the past with. When I got her I took her home to my college apartment, where she was with me when I graduated, then came home with me when I got my first big girl job post grad! She stayed with me until I moved into my first apartment on my own, and a year later I moved down south into another apartment, and now we live in a house! How special it has been to have her with me every step of the way, and to see her grow so comfortable and happy with me along the way.
