She was brainwashed a good chunk of her life and she’s trying to do better and be a better person. Like in S1 with the makaians in the apartment building: she tried to save them. Sure she did drug him but that was to protect him and she regretted it and made it a point to show him that she did. She’s a deep and complex character who is trying to change and grow

literally that scene where she empathised with what Vergil’s going through, being groomed by Mundus like she’s been groomed by Dark Com; she wants to be emotionally vulnerable with Dante, but her trauma is saying no. I do agree to some extent that there are better versions of Lady out there, however her character depth (from a complexity POV) in the Netflix series did massively improve by the end of the first season, and throughout the second season; in saying that though, nothing could make me hate netflix Lady

she quite literally died for him. leaving darkcom is basically a death sentence. plus I don't think people realize that she's a traumatized individual trying to change and heal. that stuff doesn't come easy
