Unless you’re going to Harvard or Princeton, why are you going to college out of your home state? You legit get extra money if you’re a resident of your state.

I didn’t realize how much people shame you for community college until I talked about it. Like I’m sorry I don’t want to be in generational debt, I’ll do anything to avoid that.

even with a major life event, you can still go. my mom died my freshman year of college. we were also in poverty, so her death, alongside my scholarships for getting good grades in highschool, and fafsa have covered everything so far. it is possible, not easy, but possible

There’s also ways to get free college through employers. if you want to be a pharmacist for example, literally work at CVS for a year as a tech and then talk to your boss about CVS funding your pharmacy school, I work at CVS and legit have a coworker doing exactly this, only catch is CVS will contract you for a few years but after that you have a free pharmacy degree

I’m incredibly low income. I just got into the nursing program at my community college completely debt free. It is affordable if you make it. I may not have money for gas but I can get my education

The problem I’ve noticed for years and that so many people just go to college for the experience and bc of that they go to some big out of state college. I went to an instate college, with the instate discount I payed roughly 2000 a semester for a total of 16000 yes that’s still a lot of money but it’s a reasonable amount to pay off

So many people refuse to go to community college cuz of how it “looks” I’m going to community college right now to get my engineering degree and pay for it with a little bit of aid and my own money. Idc how many loans I have to take out for uni I’d rather be in school debt than continue the family cycle of being poor. I grew up broke and I don’t want to live that way my whole life.

I see this everywhere. People rather sit and wallow in their sadness and plight. There is always a way out of holes. I sat there for months searching every single solution. And now im almost out if college with only 80k debt. Pretty good compared to my friends with close to triple that
