We have had hotter heat waves, but they’ve only lasted 3 to 4 days. This is the first time in 60 years heat waves going on for 2 1/2 weeks.

Besides the long spell of humidity we're having now, anyone here remember the extremely humid summers of 2018 and especially 2015? Before that we had notably humid/tropical summers in 2012, 2006, 1997, 1984, and 1976–77 — several exceptional for their time. This year may be humid, but coastal SoCal summer humidity is definitely not new.

I remember walking outside March 2013 & feeling wicked humidity, lasted through October. Nobody talks about the dew point either, it was/is crazy high. San Diego has changed considerably since 😩
