Little update because I know I’ve been very quiet on here… 🏥❤️ Since Saturday morning I’ve been admitted to hospital after my heart decided it was going to completely lose the plot 😅 My heart rate has been doing some pretty scary things, going as high as 178bpm and as low as 28bpm, along with my blood pressure dropping again. I’ve also had a horrible headache for over a week that just won’t shift, dizziness, extreme tiredness and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever yawned this much in my life 🥱😂 I’ve been attached to a cardiac monitor the whole time and they’ve changed some of my medication to try and help. Unfortunately, despite lots of monitoring and tests, my local hospital still don’t really know what’s causing my heart to behave like this. Things have been quite serious at times and I’ve been told I’ve been at risk of cardiac arrest, which is obviously pretty scary to hear. Because they can’t get to the bottom of what’s happening here, they want me to have more specific specialist testing. So I’m currently waiting for a bed to become available at a specialist hospital and, as soon as one does, I’ll be transferred there by ambulance. 🚑 For now I’m still here, attached to the monitors and waiting. My heart clearly can’t decide whether it wants to run a marathon or have a nap, so apparently it’s trying both 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I don’t really know what happens next yet, but hopefully being transferred means we can finally get some answers and figure out what on earth is going on. I might still be a little quiet while all of this is happening, but I’ll update you all when I can. Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and sent messages, it really does mean a lot. 🥺💜 Another unexpected chapter… but for now, one tiny win at a time. 💜 #nhs #heartcondition #hospital #pots #chronicillnessawareness
