That breaks my heart. Did they ever find him? The end of this last school year, I worked as an Instructional Aide in a third grade class. While I was there, the kids had days of state testing, which we spent days preparing them for. Still, so many of the kids were so stressed. I remember the sweetest boy in my class crying from stress while testing. Most of them kept asking for breaks to go to the restroom or just walk up and down the hall. Children definitely stress too.

My oldest granddaughter would fret over her report cards and be worried about failing. She was an A-B student. She’s just a lil worry wart. My son can be hard on them but I just pull out his report cards to humble him. 😂😂

Yes! I was an extremely shy kid and I HATED these forced activities and getting on stage with all eyes on me. It terrified me. I did have a dysfunctional family then getting on stage was not it at all.

My parents were very harsh and strict. I would get punished for little things. I never had a good relationship with them, but I learned what not to do with my kids and we have a great relationship.

No one cares about your grade school marks, that's the time to learn social skills and great habits. setting goals and achieving them in fun ways is great way to teach kids for later in life, but the pressure to perform just robs a child of their childhood. been there, experienced that and I remember being so tense my body was sore all the time. my kids are having a very different childhood, in more ways than one
