If you didn’t have semis from the 1960s that first fig-8 would be perfect. Most of the roundabouts where I live are that size and the trucks don’t struggle at all.

As I said for the single lane roundabout, your simulation is simply wrong. By slowing the video and focusing on one entrance at a time, u can clearly see that at least 5/6 times the cars won’t enter even though they have plenty of space. I think that’s due to how u collected the data with the camera, maybe u should match those data’s to know how many cars will come from each road and then use the data from an already existing roundabout with the same amount of entrances, so that u will know truly how much time it takes for a car to get trough the roundabout

the space in the middle doesnt have to be raised. Make it flat with road markings and semis can easily pass through.

We’d probably do 2 mini roundabouts for this junction in the UK! (I mean we wouldn’t build this junction to start with, but yeah 2 mini roundabouts could work here I think)

As a transportation engineer, I like the two-lane. Love the concept of the peanut (like the famous one in Worcester MA) but it doesn't work unless you restrict heavy truck traffic in certain roads due to the tight radii. As a golfer.... Good luck getting land from the golf course on the corner! Love the videos man
