@ncoutdooradventures: I've lived in the holler now for going on 11 years and I have seen a bear on our property once. The past two months a juvenile black bear 🐻 has been spotted a few times on our property and apparently neighboring properties. We got piles of 🐻 💩 all over our lower parking area by the paw paw trees 🌳 and grapes. My neighbor and his trusty weenie dog got a great video which family said I could share! We saw him once when I went to inspect a loud noise at dusk with the dog. He was eating our grapes 🍇. I froze, Arete froze, he froze and I saw a black shadow running away. Then we saw him at our River put-in for River tubing, kayaking & +++ in Western NC Mountains. Our river guests have also seen him. They look so cuddly 🧸but we need to remember that an actual bear 🐻 hug is baaaaaad! Stay #bearaware and #respectnature and #RespectTheLocals and we can all co-exist nicely. I hope Mr or Miss bear gets scared of people soon before bear season kicks off 😢. Side note 📝 I am a Southern country gal buuut can I please just say I just can't get enough of hearing my mountain folk neighbors say the word 🐻 with that southern Appalachian dialect: There's a Bare....Bar season is upon us ...I just ❤️ hearing them say that word! #ncoutdooradventures #appalachia
The bear must be foreging and stocking up getting ready for the fall and winter coming. They are so beautiful to watch. Definitely keep that distance from a mom and her cubs💜
