@explaining.quran: The Qur’an speaks about hardship with a message of patience, hope, trust in Allah, and eventual relief. “Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” Quran 94:5–6 “Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.” Quran 2:286 “We will certainly test you with something of fear, hunger, and loss of wealth, lives, and crops. And give good news to those who patiently endure.” Quran 2:155 “And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for them, and provide for them from where they do not expect.” Quran 65:2–3 “Do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah.” Quran 39:53 The Qur’an does not promise that life will be free from hardship. It reminds us that hardship is temporary, Allah knows what we are going through, and relief can come even when we cannot see a way forward. Sometimes the hardest moments can also bring a person closer to Allah. “Perhaps you dislike something and it is good for you… Allah knows and you do not know.” Quran 2:216
