Why are they releasing oil from the SPR, if it doesn’t affect the price of oil and gas much? It seems pointless to release oil from the SPR, if it isn’t helping lower gas prices much. Isn’t the SPR damaged some every time they draw it down?

Off topic here but did you know Don Patton? He was an Independent oil man that worked for Mobil for years until he quit and did his own. I cut wheat for him for 3 years on a custom harvest crew. He was from Electra Tex.
