It's a quick way to get to the summary of the email contents. I'm a scanner, jump past the opening, skim for details then read the end if I know the person summarises the main points (vs 'have a great weekend blah blah). For those studying or writing, reading what you've written from bottom to top (sentence by sentence, starting with the last) is the best way to proof read. Your brain knows what you've written (esp if it's something you've spent a lot of time on) so it's a great way to find errors or odd sentences/wording. I did it with my verrrrry long thesis. Time consuming but works bloody well.

I always put my point at the top lol and the sign off with my nice nice. I don’t have time to stuff around, just get to the point.
