@tmk_aquarist: I saw the most incredible looking Apistogramma Trifasciata in the water of the Pantanal WHAT A TREAT! As I was slowly inching along the margin of a small lagoon in a crystal clear part of the Pantanal, I saw a flash of blue. At first I couldn't even believe my eyes, and my luck...l knew instantly that I have encountered something very special! Sure enough, by spotting and following the female, I waited and found this GORGEOUS male, not just swimming after the female, but flaring his fins to signal to her that he's the stud she wants! I mean, I've always known of the brilliance of Apistogramma, and I've both seen images and videos of some amazing Trifasciata in others' aquariums, but seeing this incredible specimen in nature, its natural habitat living its best life is truly awe inspiring!! I knew the Pantanal would be special, but man oh man...it did NOT disappoint! Lastly, just don't get carried away and get stalked by a cayman 😅🐊 #naturephotography #fishtok
