those (like myself)rarely felt what we did in our formative years did was good enough, we were told, shown that whatever we did was important, only the outcome. we chase approval, need praise, seek gratitude, and demand validation because we we were made to feel our worth was dependent on results, We were told "yeah but you could have done this" or "should have done it this way" when all we wanted was "great job work kid" proud of you. We were told what we did was never enough. ... and now we're demanding the affirmation from everyone, the affirmation we wanted but never received
