Sedo, after that loss to Johnny today, it’s time to wake up and make some serious changes.
You and your coach KNEW exactly what Johnny brings to the table — elite grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu — and yet you walked into that fight without what looked like a proper plan to deal with it. That’s not just a bad night; that’s a coaching failure.
Your coach should have been drilling you on movement, footwork, distance management, running the clock when necessary, and keeping the fight where you had the best chance of winning. Look at Floyd Mayweather — he built an entire style around movement, angles, distance and making dangerous opponents chase him. Against a grappler like Johnny, those skills could have been the difference.
Instead, you got dragged into Johnny’s world, where you already knew he was dangerous.
So I’m going to say it bluntly: SACK THE COACH. If your coach can’t prepare you for the strengths you already know your opponent possesses, what exactly are you paying him for?
You don’t need excuses. You need a better game plan, better movement, better conditioning and a coach who can actually adapt.
Johnny exposed the problem tonight. Now fix it.
