@inventionontt: Original Video Credit: IG/jakelittle94 Rough seas in Bristol Bay turn the deck of a commercial fishing boat into an unexpected physics demonstration. As the vessel rises and falls through large swells, crew members time their jumps with the boat’s downward motion and appear to float unusually long above the deck. When the hull drops into a wave trough, both the boat and the people aboard it accelerate downward. Jumping at the right moment reduces the supporting force normally exerted by the deck, producing the sensation of apparent weightlessness and making each jump seem dramatically exaggerated. This same principle explains the weightless feeling experienced during sudden drops on roller coasters and aboard aircraft performing parabolic maneuvers. Here, the movement of the ocean and vessel briefly creates a similar effect during an otherwise demanding day at sea. No copyright infringement intended. I did this on the bow during a nice big wave. I jumped up as the boat dipped and I was 10 feet in the air. Then the boat came back up as I was dropping down 😭😭😭
