@insane.cb: Silver tarnish is actually silver sulfide, formed when silver reacts with sulfur in the air. Instead of using abrasive polishes that physically wear down your precious jewelry, you can reverse the chemical reaction right in your kitchen. By placing tarnish-covered silver in a bowl lined with aluminum foil, adding hot water, baking soda, and salt, an electrochemical reaction takes place. The aluminum attracts the sulfur atoms away from the silver, transferring the tarnish onto the foil and restoring your jewelry's original shine in seconds—no tedious scrubbing required! Save this life hack for the next time your favorite silver pieces need a quick refresh! 🪙✨ #lifehacks #cleaninghacks #chemistryinreallife #silvercleaning #diyhacks

I do this with my silver chains. I give them a good wash with dawn soap in my hydroponic jewelry cleaner then I rinse really well and do the aluminum bath. They are like new
