Toxic culture is a huge part of this. Girls are pushed into marriage young, then when they grow up, have kids and realize the man is abusive or cheating, it becomes “What will the family say? What will people say?” Divorce is treated as more shameful than his behavior. Instead of teaching girls to tolerate everything, maybe start raising boys to become decent husbands.
