The problem with ‘veganism’ is it’s not actually vegan. It’s not vegan if it’s coming from any major corporation. Many vegans see it as what you’re putting in and on your body, when that’s not it. It’s where you’re putting your money. No, vegan doc martins are not vegan because they’re doc martins. No, your oat milk latte from Starbucks is not vegan because you got it from STARBUCKS. No your 100% cotton underwear from Victoria’s Secret is not vegan because you got them from VICTORIAS SECRET. Veganism SHOULD BE anti corporation because it’s big corporations that mass harm animals. Not your local farm that is held to higher standards of animal treatment. Anti-corporation consumption IS a lifestyle that most ‘vegans’ I have known do not partake in.

Tbh honest veganism isn’t leftist to me, it’s just a neutral practice. I love vegan food, and it’s cool, but I don’t like that political vegans equate eating animals to mass human tragedies. Animals eat other animals. Plants eat meat. It’s just as natural. The issue is the wasteful mass production of meat that will only go to waste because of capitalism and corruption. To ignore that some people cannot become vegan for medical reason or simply just don’t want to… makes no sense.
